Toxic Tort and Environmental Litigation
Our lawyers have defended a variety of mass tort, toxic tort, and environmental damage claims pursued under CERCLA, RCRA, and other federal laws, as well as state common law. In particular, our lawyers have defended lawsuits involving claims for air and groundwater pollution, asbestos exposure, chemical exposure, and toxic mold exposure in both state and federal court. Our lawyers have also been involved in defending a class action lawsuit seeking to close a landfill in eastern Alabama. Currently, we represent a national company in a series of lawsuits brought by numerous plaintiffs asserting claims of alleged mass environmental pollution of a small Alabama town and the surrounding area. The firm also represented manufacturing defendants in the defense of CERCLA contribution claims arising from the longstanding Solutia/Monsanto litigation involving claims of environmental pollution in Anniston, Alabama.
