About Mr. Dukes

Mr. Dukes, a shareholder with the firm, has extensive experience in defending business and management in civil litigation in Alabama. His practice focuses on the defense of employment-related lawsuits. Examples of the many employment claims which Mr. Dukes has successfully defended are described in the Employment Litigation section of this site. In addition to assisting clients with pending litigation and matters involving the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the National Labor Relations Board, Mr. Dukes advises clients on day-to-day employment issues, provides clients with anti-harassment and anti-discrimination training, and devises policies for employers to protect against potentially costly litigation. Mr. Dukes is a frequent lecturer on current trends and issues in employment law.

Beyond the employment area, Mr. Dukes has a long record of successfully defending businesses in commercial disputes, representing insurers in sales practice and bad faith litigation, and defending a variety of professionals as to claims made against them.
